The Intermediate Riders Course is a one day course that includes classroom discussion on different topics from the DOL Motorcycle Operator Manual to better help students understand motorcycle safety and make safer choices to safely operate a motorcycle instruction as well as range instruction to help riders advance their skills for street riding. Bikes are provided for this course! This class is a bonus class that includes ALL 4 TESTS!!
In order to get your full endorsement through the DOL, each rider must complete 4 tests-
- a Permit Knowledge Test,
-a Permit Skills Test,
-an Endorsement Knowledge Test
-an Endorsement Skills Test.
This class is for riders who are;
-Experienced with riding motorcycles and are needing to get their full endorsement.
-Self-taught riders/dirt bike riders who know how to operate a bike
THIS IS NOT A “LEARN TO RIDE” COURSE. Students who attend this class must already be able to start, stop, shift and turn. Students unable to show their ability to safely operate a motorcycle will forfeit their tuition fee and will be excused from class. If you are brand new to riding, please sign up for a Basic Rider Course.
You need to bring the following items to class:
- Helmet, gloves, over the ankle boots, pants (no shorts), a long sleeve shirt (a windbreaker is also a good idea to bring as an extra layer depending on the weather)
- Due to Covid-19 CWMT will NOT be able to provide "loaner helmets" for the class at this time
Under 18 years old- The state requires that students under 18 must take A Rider Course- either the Basic Rider Course or the Intermediate Rider Couse, or both. If the minor has been riding dirt bikes for years, have them attend a permit level testing (guardian must sign waiver form) then have them attend an Intermediate Riders Course. Riders under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver form in front of an instructor at the beginning of class. Minor must visit a DOL office with a guardian to add the permit and the endorsement to their license.
Cancellation policy- no refunds will be made 6 business days from the start of the class! Refunds are only authorized if you let us know at least 6 business days prior to the class. Refunds will also not be given if you do not complete or pass the course. There is a $25 administration fee for processing cancellation refunds/transfers of student registrations.
