Where, What, how:

Please reach us at 509-884-6186  if you can't find an answer to your question.

To legally ride a 2-wheel motorcycle, 3-wheel motorcycle, or scooter in Washington, you must have a motorcycle endorsement or permit on your driver’s license. To obtain the endorsement you must pass all 4 Washington state motorcycle endorsement tests;

  •  A Permit Knowledge Test
  • A Permit Skills Test
  • An Endorsement Knowledge Test
  • An Endorsement Skills Test

This can be done by attending a 3rd party testing session as scheduled on our website click this link to go directly to the sign-up page. If you are looking for training in addition to the testing, you can do this  by completing a class- for beginners- GET RIDING  includes the permit testing only) or if you know how to ride, but could use some training to advance your skills, complete the Street Strategies Intermediate Training Course (this class includes the Endorsement test, permit testing is available on the same day, please bring cash in hand to cover the testing fee)

Washington state motorcycle endorsement DOL link with all the step-by-step guides.

Washington State requires anyone wanting to get their Endorsement to complete all 4 tests. If you complete only the Endorsement Testing, the DOL will direct you back to complete the Permit Testing.

Please make sure that your permit is valid, if it's expired when you go to add your Endorsement with the DOL, you will need to retest for the Permit.

 Register for a Permit Testing session online or pay in person if you prefer to pay in cash. Or attend a Get Riding Course- permit testing is included.
